Travel east on the Long Island Expressway I-495 until the final exit, exit 73, in Riverhead, NY. Follow the signs for County Road 58 to Greenport/Orient Point. Proceed eastbound until route 58 merges with route 25 eastbound. Continue on route 25 all the way to Greenport. Once in Greenport, route 25 becomes Front Street. Continue on Front Street to the very end and turn left on Main Street. Travel approximately one block and turn right on Bay Avenue. We at the end of the street on the cul-de-sac. For a faster drive, you can also take the following route (although you will bypass many of our beautiful towns): Travel eastbound on the Long Island Expressway as above. Take county road 58 through Riverhead as above. After you pass through the traffic circle, be on the lookout for a left turn onto Northville Turnpike. (The name is deceptive; Northville Tpk is a two lane road. Fleet Bank will be on the right.) Take the left turn, and travel to the end, passing Long Island National Golf Club. At the end, go right onto Sound Avenue and continue eastbound. You will travel approximately 18 miles to the flashing light at the intersection with route 25 Main Street. Turn right and travel into Greenport. Turn left on Bay Avenue and travel to the end of the street. We are located on the cul-de-sac.

Greenport is served by the Long Island Railroad, which is operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York. To travel by rail, you must board the train for Ronkonkoma, which initially departs from Penn Station in New York. At Ronkonkoma you must change to the Greenport train for the remainder of the ride. Region: Greater Niagara About the Area: About ten miles away in Buffalo, there are a multitude of architectural gems including Frank Lloyd Wrights Darwin Martin House and Greycliff, the Richardson Towers, Sullivans Guaranty Building, the Allbright-Knox Art Gallery, the Shea Buffalo Theater and numerous other theaters and restaurants.
A few miles to the north is the antique shoppers area of Clarence and to the south is East Aurora which is famous as the home of the Roycroft and Fisher-Price Toys.
About twenty-five miles to the north is Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario. To the east is the recreated village known as the Genesee Country Museum and Letchworth State Park. About ninety miles to the south is the Chautauqua Institute.
Inn Description: Located in an elegant 1891 Queen Anne-style Victorian home, this beautiful property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Within a local historic district, it is about one block from the magnificently restored Lancaster Opera House that dates to 1894. Plays, musicals and other entertainment are offered here year-round. The house is furnished with antiques and reproduction furniture. It is entirely air-conditioned, and all rooms have private baths or showers. There are gas fireplaces in the living room and in the dining room. A large front porch beckons visitors to stop and rest. Inn Description: Located on the National Historic Register, the house was built in 1855. The original style was Greek Revival with four two story square columns and arched windows and doors. Through the years, Rosewood Inn has retained the charm of the Victorian Era.
The proximity of the house to Corning Hospital led to its ownership by doctors. From 1907 through 1979 it was owned by physicians who lived, raised their families and practiced medicine here.
