morningside1About the Area: We are located three miles from the heart of Rhinebeck, a historic town packed full of fine dining, antique stores and one-of-a-kind shops, an active arts community and big seasonal events. The village features some of the best shops and markets that the area has to offer, but exploring the greater Hudson Valley can also reap great rewards. The historic Mills, Roosevelt, and Vanderbilt mansions and Olana are a short drive away; the grounds are great for afternoon walks and picnics with spectacular views of the Hudson River. There are many beautiful golf courses within a short 15 minute drive from the farm. The Red Hook Golf Course and Dinsmore are less than 6 miles away. Freshwater lakes and the Hudson River offer swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing, and there is a network of trails for hiking and biking. Many fun afternoons can be spent exploring our local wineries, breweries and distilleries, which offer tours and tastings. If you’re not looking to venture far from the farm, within walking distance are the Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center, which offers locally-produced events year-long, and the Rhinebeck Tennis club adjacent to the farm. In the summer and fall, the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome located just down the road offers shows on the weekends and walking tours daily.

Events: Our farm offers private views of acres of rolling land, grazing horses and flower gardens in bloom; a perfect site for a variety of events. The setting is beautiful, relaxed and unpretentious. The hilltop areas are wonderful places to hold wedding ceremonies and receptions, and although we highly recommend Gendron Catering and Bridgecreek Catering, we are open to working with any caterers or vendors of your choice. We can accommodate up to 150 people on our outside areas. Site fees of up to $4500.00 are applicable, but smaller groups may have smaller fees.

Inn Description:  In addition to the private Wyoming, Tumbleweed, Juniper and Sweet Violet rooms, the main lodge features several sunny, communal areas for relaxing, socializing and eating (sometimes all at once). Meet your fellow guests in the dining room and adjoining kitchen while snacking on breakfast; later, curl up by the fire with a glass of wine, play an old-fashioned board game or watch a classic movie. The Carriage House is a renovated barn just steps away from the main lodge, featuring three unique rooms and a shared convenience kitchen. Each room has a private patio with views of the surrounding woods and pastures. Visitors can still share breakfast at the main lodge every morning and its common areas any time; but the Carriage House also features its own coffee, tea, microwave and refrigerator, as well as books, games and movie collection for quiet nights in. The Morningside, Sunset and Northwind rooms each offer their own unique character to add to the options in the main lodge.
